Noise is everywhere and noise pollution is increasingly a problem throughout urban areas. Many heath experts have even identified noise pollution as a source of increased risk of hearing loss, stress, sleep disturbances, and heart disease. The National Institute of Health warns that regular exposure of more than 1 minute to 110 Decibels risks permanent hearing loss while prolonged exposure to any noise at or above 85 Decibels can cause gradual hearing loss.
Because traditional transport refrigeration systems require a separate diesel engine to power the refrigeration compressor, the aggregate environmental noise impact is often greater than 190 dBA (louder than a jet engine). In comparison, the AuraGen® solution eliminates the need for a separate diesel engine and thereby reduces the aggregate environmental noise impact by roughly 100 dBA.
